Julia Cumes is a Cape Cod-based photographer and visual storyteller whose work explores people, place and the natural world. Originally from South Africa, she has photographed around the world for magazines, newspapers, humanitarian and wildlife organizations, with storytelling and human connection at the heart of much of her work.
Cape Cod, where she has lived and photographed for many years, is an ongoing source of inspiration. Her work here ranges from landscapes shaped by the Cape’s ever-changing light, water, weather and seasons to intimate stories about the people and communities who call it home. Her most recent project, Invisible Threads: Portraits and Stories of Our Global Neighbors, explores migration, identity and belonging through portraits and stories of Cape Cod’s global community and was published as a book by Daylight Books in 2026. Robert Manz is a fine art photographer working in natural light. He loves to wander the Cape Cod shoreline looking for beautiful light. After ten years of publishing his images as note cards and calendars with a sense of place he has undertaken to share that approach to sharing art with other fine art photographers.
