Summer's Joy - Julia Cumes - Brewster, Cape Cod
Nature often reveals itself unexpectedly. Walking with my dogs on a Brewster beach after a rainstorm, I spotted a young boy standing on one of the last chunks of ice from winter. Bathed in light, he looked like a small figure on a pulpit. It was a simple yet striking moment, a reminder of the beauty that surrounds us, sometimes in the most unanticipated moments.
